If our handsome, clear lacquer finish doesn't fit with your room décor, we offer custom options of Natural Cherry, Deep Rosewood or Semi-Gloss Black. Coloring maple is surprisingly tricky; standard wood stains give very mixed results. So we hired a finishing specialist to work with our Amish craftsmen to develop special toned-lacquer blends with a five-step finish, all tailored to the unique problems of staining maple.
