The planks are then delivered a few miles down the road to a large cabinet-maker's wood shop, where they are air dried. This photo was taken in the storage area to the rear of the very well-equipped shop. That's Raymond, our Amish cabinet-maker, standing next to a pile of our air-drying 2 1/4" maple. He was very kind to allow me to take photographs in his shop. But, he specifically requested that we not reproduce his face for reasons of faith. So I've blurred him out of this and a few other photos.
