I. Design and Performance:
This is a more massive, larger version of the amazing sounding Maple Bedrock. It accommodates large monitor speakers or smallish floor standers (up to 30” high and 15” wide). It also ends worries that ultra-low Bedrock mounting leaves speakers too vulnerable. The Gibraltar has 4 times the mass of the Bedrock The size is 12” x 12” by 10” high. It sounds way better than any conventional height speaker stand AT ANY PRICE—no matter whether steel or aluminum, titanium or composite, sand filled or lead filled, walnut or exotic hardwood. Like the Bedrock, it directly couples to the floor via four massive brass cones. Two brass rear corner posts and one adjustable Ultimate Triplepoint cone lock the speaker to the stand.
