The Gallo Reference 3s are my studio monitor because I'm knocked out by their astonishing tonal purity and speed—well beyond the best electrostatics. That doesn't mean there's no room for improvement. Our Upgrade Stand is a giant first step. Using our old growth maple, we double the width and quadruple the thickness of the too-slender stock base. We replace the smallish factory footers with our massive Megafeet and Heavyfeet. At the same time, we double the tiltback angle. Result? More rock-solid bass, extra midrange warmth and detail, new treble clarity. And the extra tiltback corrects the Reference 3's time alignment and gives standing listeners much better treble and imaging.

Add custom toned-lacquer finish for $100 per pair; $150 for black. Maple products with a custom lacquer finish are made to order. The turnaround time for custom finishes is 6-8 weeks. We require a 50% non-refundable deposit for all custom work.
